Help us celebrate our local heroes and show appreciation for their everyday efforts!

NOMINATE A HERO CONTEST: May 1 – 31, 2025 [Closed]

Nominate a local hero to be recognized.

Do you know a hero who's making—or has made—a positive impact in our community? Tell us thier story. CCU Florida will select four extraordinary heroes.

Four selected heroes will receive:

$100 VISA^® Gift Card
$100 donation to the charity of choice
Custom Community Hero 42oz Yeti Tumbler® + CCU Florida Swag

Winners will be notified and a time will be set up for them to receive their winnings.

All submitted stories will be reviewed by a panel of CCU Florida staff and four stories will be selected as the winners. Winners, as well as the nominators, will be notified upon decision, no later than June 23, 2025.

What is a CCU Florida Hero?

First Responders: Police, Sheriff, EMT, Firefighters, Forestry
Education Staff: Teachers, administrators, and school employees
Medical Workers: Licensed or certified care professionals
Military: Active, Reserve, and Retired service members
Nonprofit Workers: Staff of registered nonprofit organizations
