The Board and management of CCU recognizes that we have to be financially strong and secure in order to serve the membership. Our purpose is to help our members save money and build wealth. Behind the scenes is a complex business in which we carefully consider the balance of loan growth, deposit growth, and most importantly, service. We deal with issues like liquidity, asset quality, earnings, regulatory compliance, market share, capital formation, investment yields, operational efficiency, and employee engagement. We manage branches, payments systems, computer centers, internet sites, and back office operations like accounting, human resources, and marketing. We constantly weigh the risk-reward tradeoff and ask ourselves if "the juice is worth the squeeze.”
Do we always get it right? No, but we always try to ensure that our capacity to absorb surprises is sufficient. On this count, we have an enviable track record through both good times and bad.
Our focus on efficient operations is equaled by our focus on our members. We succeed when our members succeed. To that end, we work constantly to deliver maximum value to our members and provide the financial services they need with pricing that helps them make the most of every paycheck. When our members experience a financial challenge, our goal is to help them work out solutions that will help them get back on track.
We have developed many solutions for members to consolidate and reduce debt, learn how to better manage their money, and avoid bankruptcy and default. We also reach out to our community to offer financial education. These efforts have helped thousands of individuals and families to remain solvent and build, or re-build, financial stability.
However noble our goals, if our members don't find us easy to do business with, they will not be members for long. I am proud of what we have delivered in online and mobile capabilities and we never stop working to enhance our capabilities in this area.

About David Brock:
David Brock was born in Knoxville, TN. After serving six years as a Second Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy, he graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Business Administration. He later received a Masters in Business Administration with high honors from the Florida Institute of Technology. He also holds a Certified Credit Union Executive designation through the Credit Union National Association and a Certified Chief Executive designation through the Credit Union Executive Society. Mr. Brock moved to Brevard County in 1988 and served as the Executive Vice President of Space Coast Credit Union until 1992, when he became President/CEO of Community Credit Union. He serves on the boards of a number of local non-profit organizations and civic groups, as well as several national credit union industry organizations. Among many other accomplishments, Mr. Brock has been inducted into Eckerd's Brevard Walk of Fame, received the Nathan M. Bisk College of Business Ethics and Leadership Award for Community Engagement and 2014 Citizen of the Year at the Florida Today annual Volunteer Recognition Awards. Mr. Brock, his wife, and his youngest son currently reside in Indian Harbour Beach.
